While attending the press conference for the 'Unframed' project on Monday (6/12), Lee Je Hoon revealed how he cast Jung Hae In to appear in the film 'Blue Happiness' which he directed.
Ahead of its release, the film project "Unframed" held a press conference on Monday (6/12). "Unframed" itself is a series of short films directed by actors.
One of the actors and directors who attended this press conference was Lee Je Hoon. He directed the film "Blue Happiness" starring Jung Hae In.
During the press conference, Lee Je Hoon shared how he felt about directing a film. He said, "I had the opportunity to direct while planning the 'Unframed' project."
"I was thinking about what kind of story I would write, and I made a list of things that people are obsessed with. I write stories with these keywords and because this is a short story, I focus on one story," he added.
He continued, "I wanted to write about what people like today and about a reality that they sympathize with. So I decided to direct it."
Lee Je Hoon then talked about his reasons for making Jung Hae In the lead. He explained, "When I think of the main character Chan Young, I wonder which actor can represent the youth of our time. I can only think of Jung Hae In."
He added, "I wrote carefully while imagining him. I carefully showed Jung Hae In the scenario, and he immediately gave an answer, 'I will appear (in the film)'."
"I was both happy and scared before hearing the answer. I had to taste the bitterness of life if I was rejected, but I ended up casting him without a struggle," concluded Lee Je Hoon.
Meanwhile, the "Unframed" project will be released on December 8 on the Watcha platform. For those of you who are curious about the news updates, make sure to monitor the progress on WowKeren, OK. (wk/eval)
