Yeri was accused of imitating Jungkook. The reason is, just a few hours before Yeri updated her Instagram, Jungkook also posted a photo on his newly opened Instagram with the same caption.
BLACKPINK's Jennie (Black Pink) is not the only idol criticized by BTS (Bangtan Boys) fans. On December 6, Red Velvet's Yeri posted a photo on her Instagram account with a caption containing only one emoticon (smiley face).
Soon, several toxic BTS fans flooded his account with many malicious comments accusing the SM Entertainment idol of impersonating BTS' Jungkook. The reason is, just a few hours before Yeri updated her Instagram, Jungkook also posted a photo on his newly opened Instagram with the same caption.
BTS and Red Velvet fans are fighting over who imitates whom. Red Velvet fans claim that Yeri has used this emoticon on her Instagram many times in the past, while some ARMYs have said that Yeri purposely posted the same emoticon on her Instagram on the same day as Jungkook to get her attention.
However, not all ARMYs are unreasonable. Another apologized and pointed out that only a few BTS fans criticized Yeri, so it shouldn't be considered a controversy because toxic fans can exist in every fandom.
Yeri is not the only idol involved in the BTS Instagram incident. BLACKPINK's Jennie also received malicious comments for being accidentally followed by V, who unfollowed her shortly after. He even posted on the Weverse fan community asking fans how to turn off follow recommendations on Instagram.
Meanwhile, the BTS members are currently on the second long vacation of their career. The 7-member boy group has just finished the "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE" concert in Los Angeles from late November to early December. (wk/goddess)
