On December 13, 2021, Artist Company as Park So Dam's agency announced that the actress was diagnosed with thyroid papillary cancer during a routine check-up. According to the medical staff in charge, Park So Dam has currently undergone surgery and is currently recovering.
Because of this, Park So Dam will not be able to participate in promotions for the latest film he is starring in, titled 'Special Express'.
