One of the topics that appear in 'Legendary Trainee' is the trend of fairy endings. The fairy ending moment is when the camera focuses on one member for the last moment of the stage.

Girls' Generation's Sunny is an idol with 14 years of experience, and revealed that the concept of ending a fairy was a bit different during her active days. Ending fairy is a term for the final pose that is highlighted by the camera when idols appear on music shows.
Sunny is currently hosting her own variety show entitled "Legendary Trainee". In the recently released episode, fromis_9's Saerom, Jiwon, and Jisun appeared as guests.

When they talked about the path to becoming an idol, one of the topics that came up was the trend of fairy endings. Fairy ending moments are when the camera focuses on one member for the last moment of the stage, often ending with a charismatic gaze or a bright smile.

Sunny starts talking about the fairy ending and asks Saerom to show her. "You know about fairy endings lately, right. One second can change your life," Sunny said.

Saerom pulls off the "fairy ending moment" to perfection, complete with the "panting" moves that most idols make during their fairy ending shots. As a second-generation idol who hasn't performed on stage for 4 years, Sunny asked why a gasping and "out of breath" style was needed for a fairy ending.

"I have a question here. Why do you guys have to be out of breath all the time?" Sunny asked. Saerom replies by saying that it adds a certain charm as they gasp and Sunny takes this opportunity to share how different fairy ending shots were in the past.

"In my old days, we had to act like we weren't out of breath. We stopped (completely). The trend is to freeze completely and make people wonder if they hit the pause button," says Sunny.

And he's not the only second-generation idol questioning the current trend of fairy ending moments. While SHINee was promoting "Atlantis", Key made fun of the "out of breath" act that most idols were doing while HIGHLIGHT darted off the stage when it was their turn to pose for the fairy ending.
