BLACKPINK will return to using their voices for the public good. This time, they will be participating in the Dear Earth campaign.

Dear Earth is a campaign that discusses climate change. Besides BLACKPINK, a number of big names such as Pope Francis, Barack Obama, to Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google/Alphabet, will attend the event.

In addition, there are Billie Eilish, Anitta, and Jaden Smith who will participate in the event.

BLACKPINK is the only K-Pop artist to be part of the campaign. They will also be special speakers tasked with delivering messages aimed at raising awareness of climate change to fans around the world.

Not only that, BLACKPINK will also be giving special appearances for fans. The event can be watched on October 23, 2021 via YouTube.

Previously, BLACKPINK was appointed by the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, as an ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or in Indonesian means the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals are a blueprint of 17 major goals to be achieved for a better and sustainable future by 2030. The goals cover various world challenges, such as fighting poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice.

As ambassadors for the SDGs, BLACKPINK is tasked with raising awareness about the 17 big goals and how important these goals are to achieve.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently busy with individual activities. Lisa just made her solo debut through LALISA and stole the world's attention.

While Jennie is busy being a commercial star, one of them is for Calvin Klein. On the other hand, Rose has also just received an invitation to attend the Met Gala. Meanwhile, Jisoo is currently working as an actress and is filming her latest Korean drama with Jung Hae In, entitled Snowdrop. The drama is planned to be aired this year. /hot.detik.com
