The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the South Korean idol world again. This time, the ASTRO members tested positive.

This was revealed directly by ASTRO's management, Fantagio Entertainment. One of the members, JinJin, tested positive for the Corona virus.

"Hello, we're from Fantagio. On September 16, 2021, ASTRO's JinJin didn't feel well. He immediately underwent a PCR test for preventive measures. At that time, he was declared negative," said Fantagio through the official fancafe.

"On September 18, 2021, he again felt abnormal symptoms. He then underwent a PCR test again. On September 19, 2021, he tested positive for COVID-19," he continued.

Currently, JinJin is undergoing self-isolation at a designated place. Meanwhile, all ASTRO staff and members also underwent tests to determine their condition.

"Other ASTRO members such as Moonbin and Sanha, who are close contacts with JinJin, as well as the staff, have undergone a COVID-19 test. They are currently waiting for the results," the management said.

"So, all ASTRO's current schedules have to be postponed. Everyone who comes into contact will undergo self-isolation," he added.

At the end of the statement, Fantagio Entertainment also apologized to fans for worrying. They promised that in the future they would pay more attention to the health and safety of their artists.

"We apologize for causing concern. In the future, we will prioritize the health of the artist and staff. We will do our best for the recovery of our artist," he concluded.
