The film Escape from Mogadishu is officially released on July 28, 2021. The film, which is based on a true story in 1991, stars Jo In Sung.
Escape from Mogadishu tells the story of Korean embassy employees who fled from Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia during the Somali Civil War.
Korean actor Jo In Sung told the process of making the film. The reason is, the release of Escape from Mogadishu coincides with his birthday.
“I myself did not know that the release of the film would be on my birthday. I think because of that, it will be a special one," said Jo In Sung as quoted by Soompi, Saturday (31/7/2021).
“This is a situation where I am grateful for everything. The public was looking forward to it and chose to watch it, despite the difficult situation with Covid-19. I am very happy. I'm grateful that everything went smoothly," he said again.
Escape from Mogadishu is Jo In Sung's first film after the actor entered his forties.
“Starting with this film, I hope to come back with more diverse works. Not only through movies, but also through dramas and variety shows. I hope to increase the opportunities I have to communicate more freely with all of you,” he said.
However, at that moment he admitted that he did not have a personal social media account, such as Instagram.
