Red Velvet, a girl group containing five people under SM Entertainment's care, has finally returned to enliven the K-pop world.

After teasing their fans with a thrift shop-style Instagram upload at the end of last July, the group led by Bae Joo Hyun alias Irene announced a comeback through the latest mini album, Queendom.

Through Red Velvet's official Twitter, they uploaded a GIF featuring the crown logo formed from the letters R and V. Under the crown, the word Queendom, the title of this mini album, is embedded.

Previously, Red Velvet used the word Queens in their fake thrift shop posts. "Queens Mystic General Store," wrote Red Velvet's Instagram account as the opening for the comeback promo, quoted Monday (2/8/2021).

Photographs of goods and properties from their previous music videos were also sold under a label that read Queens.

Since the appearance of this promotion, fans have guessed that there will be a royal element to this new album. Some even believe that Queens is the title that this 2014-born girl group will bring.

And, the reality is not too far from expectations. Red Velvet is a girl group consisting of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri.

Debuting in 2014 under SM Entertainment, the group managed to soar on the South Korean charts thanks to hits such as Happiness, Ice Cream Cake, Dumb Dumb, Russian Roulette, Bad Boy, and, most popularly, Psycho.

Having released two studio albums, dozens of singles, and five mini albums, Queendom will be Red Velvet's sixth mini album that is worth the wait. /celebrities.id
