The latest Korean film Escape from Mogadishu immediately became a box office in the Ginseng Country. This film received a lot of praise not only because of the interesting storyline, but also the charming acting of the veteran actor Jo In Sung.

Jo In Sung took a hiatus of almost four years before deciding to return to acting in a film. Launching from Soompi, Tuesday (3/8/2021), the Korean Film Council announced that starting at 4 pm local time, Escape from Mogadishu has officially surpassed one million moviegoers.

Amazingly, this achievement was achieved in just a week. The film was released on July 28, 2021. The achievements of Jo In Sung and his friends made a new history in the Korean film industry.

Escape from Mogadishu is the first Korean film to attract more than a million moviegoers this year. This feat is all the more remarkable considering the Korean government recently placed the greater Seoul area under its strictest social distancing guidelines.

Prior to its release, Korean filmmakers were pessimistic that Escape from Mogadishu would be watched by more than one million people within seven days.

In honor of the film that hit the one million viewer mark, stars Jo In Sung, Kim Yun Seok, Heo Joon Ho, Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim So Jin, Jung Man Sik, Kim Jae Hwa, and Park Kyung Hye posed for a celebratory photo thanking the moviegoers to show Escape from Mogadishu so much love. /celebrities.id
