BLACKPINK has released BLACKPINK 'The Movie' as part of the 4+one project to celebrate their 5th anniversary. Despite being released during a pandemic, BLACKPINK still had an outstanding performance at the box office.

Reported by Allkpop on Monday (23/8/20210), BLACKPINK's 'The Movie' became a blockbuster during its screening in theaters.

According to a music week report on August 17, 2021, BLACKPINK's 'The Movie', which was first released on August 4, has grossed 4.8 million US dollars, after showing in 100 regions and having surpassed 500 thousand moviegoers worldwide. This is the highest number of tickets for any cinema of a film released this year.

BLACKPINK The Movie is a K-pop girl group fronted by Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa, who evoke old memories of their debut on August 8, 2016 through performances and concerts.

The film also features BLACKPINK's busy schedule in the past five years and a special interview that has never been shown before.

The film, which is included in the music documentary category, consists of various sequences of segments that focus on each BLACKPINK personnel.

Some of them are "The Room of Memories" a segment about memories five years since BLACKPINK's debut and "Beauty" about the interesting highlights of the four members with their different characteristics.
