The film stars Song Kang Ho, Jeon Do Yeon, Lee Byung Hun, Kim Nam Gil, Im Siwan, Kim So Jin, and Park Hae Joon. The film, which tells the story of the emergency landing of an airplane, was nominated for the Out of Competition category.

“Their flight schedule has not been set. It will be kept secret to avoid crowds of people during the Covid-19 situation," said the agency BH Entertainment as reported by Soompi, Wednesday (30/6/2021).

BH Entertainment stated, Lee Byung Hun will attend the 74th Cannes Film Festival as an award presenter. "The categories that he will present have not been decided," he said.

Lee Byung Hun became the first Korean actor to attend the festival. Meanwhile, Song Kang Ho was chosen as this year's judge for feature films alongside jury presidents Spike Lee, Mati Diop, Mylène Farmer, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jessica Hausner, Mélanie Laurent, Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Tahar Rahim.

Previously, the film Parasite, starring Song Kang Ho, became the first Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Cannes Film Festival named the winners of 24 films shortlisted in nine categories including the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm), the most prestigious award. /celebrities.id
