On Friday (2/7), Kakao TV released photos and videos of the first script reading of its new drama entitled "Superior Shaman Ga Du Sim". The event was attended by the production team and a number of the main cast, including Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum.
The video starts with Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum exchanging lines. Kim Sae Ron introduced herself by saying, "This is Kim Sae Ron, who will play the role of the brave 'girl crush' Ga Du Shim'". Nam Da Reum also revealed that he was playing Na Woo Soo.
Kim Sae Ron then explained that Ga Du Sim inherited the power of a shaman from his grandmother. He said, "He is a brave character who is running away from his destiny and seeking the life he wants to live."
Meanwhile, Nam Da Reum's character is described as a rich student who looks indifferent but has a warm personality. Nam Da Reum said, "Na Woo Soo is a student with a rich background, has outstanding grades and has a tsundere personality. He speaks his words without much thought and looks a little cold-hearted and arrogant, but I think he is actually loyal and warm-hearted," said Nam Da Reum. .
Not wanting to be left behind, Yoo Seon Ho who was also present at the event said, "It was very interesting. The situations and stories behind each character were very interesting. I became spirit and desperately looked for my mother. I also became Du Sim's friend and supported her."
After the script reading ended, the actors shared that they were able to get a clearer picture of the drama and were looking forward to filming. "The familiar school setting and the unfamiliar topic of evil spirits blend well," said Nam Da Reum.
Kim Sae Ron added, "Although it relates to the topic of shamans, this is a drama that you can enjoy leisurely. Please look forward to seeing if Du Sim will be able to throw away his fate and find the life he wants."
Meanwhile, "Superior Shaman Ga Du Sim" is a drama about two unique high school students who are involved in a series of mysterious incidents. The story focuses on Ga Du Sim, an 18-year-old student who has the fate of becoming a shaman to eradicate evil spirits.
Ga Du Sim rejects his fate and tries to live a normal life. He then transfers schools and meets Na Woo Soo, a student who has a peaceful and ordinary life. However after meeting Ga Du Sim, he was able to see evil spirits.
