Kang Tae Oh's popularity seems to be on the rise. After being rumored to be playing in the KBS Drama Special, Kang Tae Oh is confirmed to be acting in the horror thriller spin off film 'Door Lock'.
Kang Tae Oh will be starring in the new film "Open the Door" (literal title). It seems that the popularity of the 1994-born actor is increasing.
Not just news, the agency has confirmed that the actor has just received an offer to play in the horror thriller genre film. Man of Creation as Kang Tae Oh's agency stated, "It is true that Kang Tae Oh will be starring in the movie 'Open the Door'."
Kang Tae Oh's upcoming project will tell the story of a woman named Soo Hyun's desperate struggle. Suddenly Soo Hyun becomes the target of crime after being a victim of fraud from buying used goods online. Shin Hye Sun is reportedly in the discussion stage to play Soo Hyun.
However, there is no further news about Shin Hye Sun's participation. Meanwhile, Kang Tae Oh will play the character of Detective Na who will start the pursuit to track down the perpetrators of the crime against Soo Hyun.
With Kang Tae Oh confirmed in the casting line for "Open the Door", this will be his first film since three years after "Fengshui". This project will be his reunion with director Park Hee Gon who has led "Fengshui", "Insandong Scandal" and "Perfect Game".
Meanwhile, Kang Tae Oh has managed to captivate the audience through his acting in the dramas "The Tale of Nokdu" by KBS2 and "Run On" by JTCB. His last project was "Doom At Your Service", which he just finished last week. In the drama, he plays a handsome cafe owner named Lee Hyun Kyu who is caught in a love triangle with characters Shin Do Hyun and Lee Soo Hyuk.
On the other hand, "Open the Door" is not the only future project of Kang Tae Oh. The actor will act in one of the drama titles for the annual KBS Drama Special 2021. He will co-star with Shin Ye Eun in the short drama "The Effect of Finger Flick on a Break Up" (literal title). (wk/inta)
