BLACKPINK's Rose (Black Pink) guested on the premiere episode of the JTBC variety show "Sea of Hope" on June 29. It turned out to be his reunion with Lee Dong-wook after almost two years.
As a guest star in the premiere episode, Rose was greeted enthusiastically by all the hosts. They claimed to be very happy to be able to invite him as a guest star.
Lee Dong Wook then started a conversation, "Rose, it's been a while!" The 1997-born idol tried to remember their first meeting, and asked the actor, "Really, (did we meet in) Shanghai?"
Lee Dong Wook then said, "Beijing, or Shanghai?" Rose then said, "I don't remember," to which Lee Dong Wook replied, "Anyway somewhere in China!" The actor of the drama "Goblin" then revealed that they met at an event together.
It turned out that the event they were referring to in the episode was the luxury brand Valentino fashion show which took place in November 2019. At that time, both of them were invited to represent South Korea.
Meanwhile, "Sea of Hope" is a new variety program where celebrities perform music and prepare homemade dishes for guests at their own seaside bar. Besides Lee Dong Wook, the other hosts of the program are Kim Go Eun, Lee Ji Ah, SHINee's Onew, AKMU's Lee Soo Hyun (Akdong Musician) and Yoon Jong Shin.
At the event, Rose covered John Mayer's song "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room". Not alone, he performed it with Lee Soo Hyun, Onew, and Yoon Jong Shin where they provided backing vocals towards the end of the song.
In other news, Rose was recently caught visiting Los Angeles with Jennie. The Australian singer was later revealed to have visited Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccallero, who recently had a baby. (wk/chus)
