TWICE Breaks the Record of Female K-Pop Artists Entering the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 Chart

Yesterday, Sunday (20/6) TWICE surprisingly entered the Billboard 200 list. This was revealed directly by Billboard when revealing the "Half of Fame" Album Tops Billboard 200 Chart.

Unmitigated, TWICE's new mini album "Taste of Love" immediately occupied position 6 on the Billboard list. This chart is known to be a list of popular albums in the United States.

TWICE's achievement not only marks the first time that TWICE has entered the top 10 on the Billboard 200. However, "Taste of Love" has now become the first mini-album by any female K-pop artist in history to reach the top 10 on the chart.

"Taste of Love" became the second album of the first K-Pop artist to enter Billboard's top 10. Previously, BLACK PINK was the only one who entered the top 10 through the full album "THE ALBUM".

Billboard itself also announced that "Taste of Love" became TWICE's third entry on the Billboard 200 after "MORE & MORE" and "Eyes wide open" as last week's best-selling album. According to MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music), TWICE's "Taste of Love" had a total of 46,000 equivalent album unit sales during the week ending June 17.

The total sales score for TWICE's new album consists of 43,000 physical album sales and 3,000 streaming units (SEA). This number of streams is equivalent to 5.09 million audio streams for a week.

TWICE via their official Twitter account was seen thanking their fans, ONCE for the support for entering the Billboard 200. "Billboard 200 #6 All because of ONCE
ONCE came before TWICE
Very Grateful for 'Always Together'," said TWICE this morning, Monday (21/6). (wk/alfa)
