Indonesian netizens were again angered by SBS after they released an apology for their latest drama.
Some time ago, one of the latest SBS dramas, 'Racket Boys', received criticism from Indonesian netizens for episode 5.
This is because there are scenes in the drama that can lead to bad opinions against Indonesia. After being flooded with scathing comments on Instagram, today, June 17, 2021, SBS released an apology to Indonesian fans through the comments column of the post in question.
"We from the production team [Racket Boys] apologize for the memory of the match that was broadcast in episode 5, we do not mean to demean certain countries, players or viewers. However, we apologize for some of the scenes that have offended our Indonesian viewers. We will be watching closely for the next episode.”
However, the move from SBS made Indonesian netizens angry again because the television station was considered to have no respect for Indonesia by releasing an apology through the comments column only.
The response to SBS's apology comments was again enlivened by Indonesian netizens who requested that SBS release an apology as well as possible.
Not a few also compare the attitude of the television station towards responding to similar cases, such as 'Joseon Exorcist' which no longer continues to air after 2 episodes due to historical distortion. (www.kpopchart.net)
