In a new interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, solo singer and member of Girls' Generation, Tae Yeon opened up about personal but touching reasons why she tries to post on social media as often as possible. So far, he is known to often communicate with fans through social media.
As many as 16.3 million followers on Tae Yeon's personal Instagram account, @taeyeon_ss are always spoiled with endless beautiful photos almost every day. From behind-the-scenes selfies to photos in costumes on "Amazing Saturday", Tae Yeon's feed has it all.
But why does Tae Yeon frequently update her social media? The 1989-born singer also revealed the reason to Cosmopolitan Korea.
"I believe that it is one of the absolute must for me to connect with my fans," said Tae Yeon. As explained by her follower count, Tae Yeon has garnered many loyal and dedicated fans during her 14 years as an idol and they are all very happy to receive updates from her.
Furthermore, Tae Yeon explained that he believes his fans will be lonely if he decides not to connect with them just because he enjoys his free time between comebacks. Sadly, the soloist added, "I don't want my fans to endure that feeling because I know what it's like to be lonely."
In 2019, Taeyeon opened up that she was diagnosed with depression and struggled with her feelings. "I know very well what it feels like (to be lonely)," Tae Yeon told Cosmopolitan Korea.
Therefore, Tae Yeon said this is why he tries to post every day on social media. "Even if it's just a daily selfie or a photo of Zero," he added. Zero is Tae Yeon's 3 year old poodle. Along with the clothing collaboration with SPAO, Zero has more than 400,000 Instagram followers alone on the @zero.taeyeon account. (wk/goddess)
