Kakao TV's newest drama, 'From Today Engine On' has announced the main cast and broadcast schedule. Kim Min Suk from 'Lovestruck In The City' is rumored to be in the lead role with a newcomer.
Kim Min Suk and Lim Hyun Joo will be starring in the new drama Kakao TV. The two will co-act in a 4-episode drama titled "From Today Engine On" (literal title) which will air from late June to early July.
On Monday (21/6), Kim Min Suk and Im Hyun Joo were confirmed to be the main actors of this drama. "From Today Engine On" is a drama about an auto mechanic and his development when he gets caught up in a number of incidents and meets various people.
Kim Min Suk will play Chae Dae Hyun, a genius car mechanic. Although passionate and talented when it comes to automotive, he is clumsy and not very good at showing his feelings. His love for the automotive world is due to his grandfather who runs a car repair shop in the countryside.
Cha Dae Hyun likes Na Yoo Hwa (Lim Hyun Joo) and is too shy to express his feelings. Na Yoo Hwa works as a manager at the workshop where Cha Dae Hyun works. Despite having a charming personality, he carries emotional scars that are hard to forget.
Meanwhile, Kim Min Suk has been widely recognized as an actor with a diverse acting spectrum. He built that image through dramas such as "Lovestruck in the City", "Descendant of The Sun", "Defendant", and "Because This Is My First Life". Recently he starred in a film called "Shark: The Beginning".
On the other hand, Lim Hyun Joo became known through the romantic reality show "Heart Signal 2". In the program, eight people are gathered to stay together for a month and get to know each other until they finally go on a date. Every night each member will send anonymous messages to show their romantic interest.
During the program, there will be panelists from celebrities who will guess the pairs that are formed. Thus, this drama will be his acting debut as well as his first time taking on the lead role. (wk/inta)
