C9 Entertainment's new boy group EPEX has achieved the very best first-week sales for a debut album among the rookie idols that debuted this 2021.

EPEX Sets Highest First-Week Sales Record for a Debut Album among 2021 Rookie Groups
On June 8, EPEX has officially debuted with the discharge of their first album, entitled "BIPOLAR Pt. 1: Prelude of hysteria ."
On June 15, Hanteo Chart released the first-week sales record of EPEX's debut album. They revealed that quite 33,000 copies were sold within the previous week.
On the primary day (June 8) of sales, C9 Entertainment's new boy group sold 11,430 copies. EPEX went on to sell 8,697 copies on June 9, 3,619 on June 10, 2,282 copies on June 11, 38 copies on June 12, 2,166 copies on June 13, and 5,306 copies on Flag Day .
Overall, EPEX recorded a complete of 33,535 copies sold on the Hanteo Chart. "BIPOLAR Pt. 1: Prelude of Anxiety" now has the very best first-week sales among the debut albums released by 2021 rookie groups.
The previous record-holder is MIRAE with their debut album, "KILLA," which sold 26,626 total copies from St Patrick's Day to 23.
EPEX now joins MIRAE because the only 2021 rookie group to succeed in 20,000 total copies on Hanteo Chart. Additionally, EPEX is that the only new K-pop group to debut this year to record 30,000 total copies within the primary week of sales.
Furthermore, EPEX's debut album showed an unusual momentum from the very beginning because it ranked second on the real-time album chart of Hanteo Chart immediately after release.

EPEX's Debut Album Lands on iTunes Charts + "Lock Down" Music Video Exceeds 10 Million Views
EPEX's first album "BIPOLAR Pt. 1: Prelude of Anxiety" shows the start of the worldview that the group will develop within the future. Through the album, the rookie group unraveled the stories regarding anxiety among adolescents, like widespread depression due to a way of loss, the method where rumors become true, concerns about the meaning of freedom, and dislike towards parents.
The album's title track, "Lock Down," is an electro hip-hop genre song that explains the connection between everyday use of social media and depression. The powerful yet rough bass rhythm makes the track more addicting to concentrate to.
Aside from Korean music charts, EPEX's debut album also did well on overseas charts. "BIPOLAR Pt. 1: Prelude of Anxiety" took second place on the iTunes charts in Israel and Thailand on June 9.
Over on the iTunes K-pop chart, it ranked first in Israel, second in Thailand and Russia, third in Germany, and fifth within the us .
The album also peaked at No. 1 and a couple of on the Israeli and Thai iTunes pop charts, respectively.
As for the music video for EPEX's "Lock Down," it surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in only three days of its release.
