Given that Ji Soo is the central character in the drama and it is impossible for his character to be removed in the middle of a season. The production team thought quickly so that finally when Ji Soo chose to resign, Na In Woo was recruited to replace him.

Na In Woo was outspoken about the casting process he was doing to replace Ji Soo. The process is fairly fast and comes in the middle of him filming another project called Her Bucket List.

"I received a call to come to management after filming Her Bucket List, talked to my CEO for over an hour and as an actor, I feel concerned that the River Where the Moon Rises project is in danger of being canceled," he said in an interview with W Korea.

Na In Woo later revealed that he immediately met director Yoon Sang Ho the day after. He did voice recording, costume fitting, and the next day Na In Woo went straight to the set.

Unexpectedly, Na In Woo's discussion process until he decided to join River Where the Moon Rises was quite fast. This is because he had auditioned for a historical drama project from the same director. According to Na In Woo, this made the director already have an image of his figure in traditional clothes.

Joining a Korean drama project in the middle of the season and replacing the male lead in River Where the Moon Rises was not easy. Na In Woo had to shoot 20 episodes in just five weeks. While usually shooting 20 episodes for one Korean drama title can take several months.

"I often don't sleep because there are 20 to 40 scenes I have to do in a day. Filming for River Where the Moon Rises started early in the morning and after finishing this schedule, I immediately shot Her Bucket List at night. In the morning, I returned to the location again. River Where the Moon Rises, "he said.

The Cube Entertainment actor is really doing his best. The production team for River Where the Moon Rises is also satisfied with his hard work and acting. Even though Na In Woo acknowledged him, because of his busy shooting schedule, he often didn't really know the contents of the script and the dialogue of his characters.

Luckily no one complained. In fact, the screenwriter and director of River Where the Moon Rises allowed him to act as freely as possible.

"That's why I improvised a lot in dialogue, because I thought that instead of memorizing the lines, I should just do my best," he said.

Due to the rush of filming 20 episodes in 5 weeks, the process of shooting River Where the Moon Rises made Na In Woo lose up to 8 kilograms of weight. /hot.detik.com
