Kim Young Dae recently took a photo shoot with fashion magazine W Korea for the April issue. This rising actor revealed more about his past in an interview session.
Kim Young Dae started with a story about how her parents did not allow her to pursue an acting career. The 1995-born actor revealed that he had studied in China for 2 years. Being a celebrity is not his dream.
The handsome actor further revealed that he had a dream to become a regular salary worker when he was young. "My parents finally allowed me to become an actor after they saw my sincerity. Now, they really support me," he said.
Kim Young Dae then talked about his life motto "Let's be confident." He explained, "There are so many great people in this industry. If I compare myself to other people, I will only see my weaknesses."
"There were a lot of times when I was shaken. I couldn't help but become weak. That's why I decided to have good self-esteem even if it's just a belief."
Kim Young Dae continued, "I saw this saying while reading the book, 'Healthy self-esteem is not created by recognition but by trust that comes from the way you live consistently."
On pursuing an acting career, Kim Young Dae revealed, "The more I act, the more I can find answers to the world, not from outside, but from myself. Acting makes me understand the world and myself better."
