Ahead of the premiere of "Daebak Real Estate", Jang Nara talked about her role as an exorcist named Hong Ji Ah. Starting from the reason for joining to the number of difficulties he felt during filming.
First of all, Jang Nara shared her reasons for participating in this drama. She said, "Taking on this strong, independent and assertive role is a new challenge for me and something I've always dreamed of."
However, because Hong Ji Ah is very different from other characters she has played, Jang Nara admits that she has a little trouble. However, he ended up trying his best to be able to perfectly portray the character.
"I tried to use a cold tone of voice and facial expressions. I had a hard time getting his sharp gaze and perspective right, so I practiced a lot," said Jang Nara.
He continued, "I think Hong Ji Ah is probably the most formidable and strong-willed of all the characters I've played until now. I'm both nervous and excited to see the audience's reaction to this new side of me."
Jang Nara then revealed her preparations for showing Hong Ji Ah's action scenes. He claims to have taken boxing and parkour lessons as part of his preparation.
"I did feel pressure because the action scenes from the role were important. But because the martial arts team prepared everything well, I managed to pull off the action scenes without getting hurt," he concluded humbly.
Meanwhile, "Daebak Real Estate" tells the story of Hong Ji Ah who collaborates with a con artist named Oh In Bum (Jung Yong Hwa) to exorcise demons and evil aura from the property of the deceased. In addition, they will also struggle to reveal the secret of the death of Hong Ji Ah's mother who died 20 years ago.
The drama itself is prepared to be broadcast replacing "Hello, Me!" on Wednesday - Thursday night KBS. If according to plan, "Daebak Real Estate" will begin airing on April 14th. (wk / eval)
