Last week, 135 people were arrested for violating restrictions on late night business at an entertainment bar located in Gangnam, Seoul. Looks like this building was raided again for breaking boundaries. It was reported that 98 of the people who were arrested were in the K-Pop entertainment agency's practice room.

According to the Gangnam Police Station, at 11:58 p.m. the previous day, 98 people, including staff and guests, were handed over to the isolation authorities after being caught violating restrictions in a practice room located on the fifth floor of the same building as the entertainment bar in Yeoksam-dong.

On March 30, the police received 112 calls stating that "guests and staff members beat each other." With the cooperation of the fire department, they were able to open the basement bar door, but found no one inside. Then at 11:12 p.m., additional reports revealed that the bar was still open. The police then again ransacked the building, eventually finding 98 people on the fifth floor.

The police plan to notify the neighborhood office of the violation of quarantine regulations and restrictions on businesses and gatherings of five or more people. The bar already has an administrative order to ban gatherings for ten days after it was raided last week.

A Gangnam office official stated, "If it is determined that the same bar has been cracked down again, we will strengthen action by issuing an administrative order to ban gatherings for 20 days as well as fines. If the operation in the practice room is confirmed as the unofficial operation of an entertainment bar, they will take action to violate the Food Sanitation Act. "

Since mid-February, South Korea has increased their social distancing measure to level two as a prevention for COVID-19. On level two, restaurants and other public places must close at 10pm every day. People are also only allowed to gather in groups of less than five people. (wk / chus)
