The people who accused THE BOYZ's Sunwoo of violence at school have apologized and withdrew their accusations.

Previously, an anonymous (hereinafter referred to as “A”) published a post on the online community accusing Sunwoo of school violence, and Sunwoo's agency released a statement refuting the accusation. Recently, A posted a handwritten apology letter acknowledging their false accusations. They wrote:

"Hello. I'm the one who publishes posts about school violence related to Sunwoo. First, I want to sincerely apologize to Sunwoo, THE BOYZ members, agency, and fans.

While at school, I heard a story about Sunwoo's friends from a friend, and I had prejudice against Sunwoo and negative feelings towards him. I believe the stories without questioning whether they are real or fake. I pondered deeply over the past five years where I hated Sunwoo because I aimed an arrow of hatred at the wrong person.

After checking the truth of the facts, I found out that everything I wrote about school violence, harassment in dating and more were just rumors and clearly wrong. It's all my fault that I wrote posts without considering the impact my posts would have.

I sincerely apologize for causing harm to Sunwoo, the agency, and fans by publishing false information. I promise that something like this will never happen again, and I will continue to stand and support the paths of Sunwoo and THE BOYZ in the future. I'm sorry. "

On March 29, THE BOYZ's agency Cre.ker Entertainment released the following statement:

"Hello. This is Cre.ker Entertainment. First, we thank all the fans who have sent a lot of support to THE BOYZ.

In February, we announced that we would be taking legal action regarding the writing and dissemination of false information about THE BOYZ. Regarding this, we provide updates on progress as provided below.

First, regarding the circulation of false information about Sunwoo THE BOYZ, we again verify that the posts circulating through online communities, portal sites, and social media are clearly fake. After checking the identity of the original post author, we understand the state of the post which was lost after being previously published.

After we asked for verification of the authenticity of the facts, the authors of the original post admitted that the posts they published about school violence and dating harassment were blatantly fake. In addition, they conveyed their sincere apologies through a written letter stating that they wrote the post without thinking about the impact their post would have and admit that it was all their fault.

The original publisher repented for causing harm to Sunwoo members, the agency, and fans, and they stated that something like this would not happen again in the future, apologized and promised to prevent a recurrence.

Because the post writer personally and immediately deleted the post about school violence and was followed up with a sincere apology and promise to prevent its recurrence, the agency and artist decided to show leniency after serious consideration.

Regardless of the issue, we will do our best to protect our artists from false rumors and malicious commenters, including using legal methods.

In addition to these actions, the company continues to collect evidence material through self-monitoring and fan-sent emails after we inform us of our legal response.

On March 26, we filed a formal complaint with the investigative authorities through our legal representative, the law firm Shinwon. The investigative authorities plan to carry out an investigation against the author of the malicious posts based on the diverse and widely gathered evidence material.

The company will continue to file additional complaints regarding malicious posts through self-monitoring and emails sent by all fans, and we inform you that we will respond firmly without any leniency or resolution in this process.

We will continue to do our best to protect the rights and interests of the artist for THE BOYZ and all fans who love THE BOYZ, and we ask fans to actively report to us to remove any unexpected malicious posts. " (koreanarea.com)
