Regarding the news, DongYi Company as the actor's agency said, Oasis is one of the projects that the actor is currently considering. If he accepts the offer, then he will play Lee Doo Hak.
The character is described as a bright young man from a small town in Jeolla Province, South Korea. She never imagined that she would be drawn into the real estate scam case where her father was killed.
After passing through the case, Lee Doo Hak later became a 'gangster' in the world of politics and lived only to take revenge for the death of his father. The drama Oasis will be set in the '80s and' 90s.
This drama depicts the harsh life, revenge and conflict of young people who pursue power and wealth at all costs in an era filled with wrong social values.
The Oasis screenplay was written by Jung Hyung Soo, the playwright of The Jingbirok: A Memoir of Imjin War. Meanwhile, the director's chair was handed over to Yoon Sung Sik, who reaped success through the drama Mr. Queen.
The Oasis series is scheduled to air in the second semester of 2021. Meanwhile, Jang Dong Yoon's new drama, Joseon Exorcist, will start airing tonight (22/3/2021).
