Jackson GOT7 Recently Contracted As The New Model Of Shinsegae Duty Free To Be Precisely On March 22, 2021. However, His Photos Are Now Deleted From Their Social Media.

Shinsegae Duty Free previously announced Jackson GOT7 as their model on March 22, 2021. However, the photos have now been removed from their social media.

Jackson was announced as the new model for Shinsegae Duty Free after his contract with JYP Entertainment ended. Previously, GOT7 had been their model since 2018. Due to their popularity and global fame, Jackson was contracted as a solo model for the shopping center.

Then on March 25, 2020, the brand posted about Jackson on their official Instagram account. Eagerly announcing Jackson as the new face of the duty-free shopping mall.

But just days later, the brand removed all mention of Jackson from its social media. The cause of this problem is speculated due to Jackson's statement that he will cut ties with Adidas.

Adidas has raised the issue of forced labor reported in Xinjiang, China, and announced a boycott of Xinjiang Cotton. Many other stars have made similar statements. Jackson's statement puts Shinsegae Duty Free in a difficult position because Adidas is one of the many brands they represent.

Regarding this matter, representatives from Shinsegae Duty Free reported on March 26, 2021 to Wikitree that they had just been informed of the matter and the company has not made a decision.

Jackson is actually not the first K-Pop star to decide to stop partnering with certain product brands in relation to defending Xinjiang. Recently Victoria f (x) was also reported to have stopped working with H&M for similar reasons Jackson. Even though Victoria herself is the head of the H&M campaign team who participated in designing to become an advertising model for the product. (wk / chus)
