DSP Media has spoken again to deal with certain incidents that were raised on community sites related to APRIL. They have previously released a statement regarding the initial allegations of bullying made against the group involving former member Hyunjoo.
The agency handled various issues including Somin K.A.R.D's involvement as the group leader and denied the allegations against him. They also denied the issues raised on the community site accusing Naeun specifically. Here is the full DSP Media statement:
"Due to the post on the community portal, we are giving an additional official statement. Hello. This is DSP Media. We are sending additional explanations regarding the unpleasant issue between APRIL and former member Lee Hyun Joo. Although we do not want to mention any related parties above the artist himself. , due to the gravity of the matter, we decided to explain further after confirming the facts.
About Jeon Somin. Jeon Somin spent a long and passionate time as a trainee since he was 16 years old. After debuting in APRIL, he tried hard as a leader. It is wrong that he is bullying or specifically disliking certain members. Jeon Somin and Kim Chaewon spent 3 years together as trainees and so it's almost getting started. There was no reason for them to try so hard to be closer.
About the tumbler problem. There were about 40-50 glasses in the dorm at the time and one of the members took a glass, filled it with soy stew and took it to the practice room to eat with the members. When Lee Hyunjoo said it was the tumbler, Lee Naeun immediately apologized and it was a situation where all the members shared food.
Regarding the shoe problem. The agency gave the members 12 pairs of shoes as gifts. There are 6 identical pairs of each of the two designs. Among these, the 4 members had the same shoe size and so there was a problem.
