Jo Byeong Gyu Again Accused of Being a Bullying Perpetrator, Agency 'Declares War' With Rumors Spreader

On Friday (19/2), HB Entertainment as Jo Byeong Gyu's agency again released an official statement about the bullying rumors that befell him. Check Out The Following Agency's Complete Statement.

Jo Byeong Gyu was recently caught up in a bullying scandal. The star of the drama "The Uncanny Counter" is accused of bullying his classmates while studying in New Zealand.

HB Entertainment as Jo Byeong Gyu's agency has denied the rumors. They decided to forgive the rumors (A) after proving Jo Byeong Gyu's innocence.

The next day, a different online user (B) wrote a post on an online community accusing Jo Byeong Gyu of being a bad boy and bully during school. This accusation has been denied by another online user (C) who claims to be Jo Byeong Gyu's classmate.

Responding to the latest rumors, HB Entertainment released an official statement on Friday (19/2) today. The agency is “declaring war” for taking strong legal action against the false rumors involving Jo Byeong Gyu. Check out the following agency statements.

Hello, this is HB Entertainment. This is our official addition to the false rumors and malicious comments currently spreading about actor Jo Byeong Gyu.

First, we have checked (the truth) with the actors and confirmed that all the posts and rumors circulating online are fake. Previously on February 17, the agency announced the intention to take legal action against those who spread false rumors and comments that slandered Jo Byeong Gyu.

As indicated in the attached document, after the agency's statement was released, the fake rumor spreader (A) promised to reflect on his actions and prevent it from happening again and asked for light treatment.

However, since we have evidence that those who spread false information carelessly about Jo Byeong Gyu with malicious intent have committed defamation and libel under the criminal law and the Law on Promotion of Information Network Use and Information Protection Communications, we formally request an investigation the police and the Gangnam Police Station cyber investigation unit currently handling the investigation.

We tell all netizens that we will not ignore people who spread and / or post malicious comments and posts on forums, online communities, portal sites or social media that do more than just express their own opinion or what is considered socially acceptable.

HB Entertainment will continue to collect evidence and monitor it online so that further damage does not occur to our artists. We will take firm legal action without negotiation or light treatment so that the public can be held accountable for their actions.

(Jo Byeong Gyu) who went through a long period of uncertainty and just got his moment in the spotlight, is having a hard time. As the party in charge of guarding him, the agency deeply regrets this incident.

Meanwhile, on Friday (19/2) today, another online user (D) wrote a post claiming that he was also a victim of Jo Byeong Gyu's bullying in New Zealand. D said that he was forced by Jo Byeong Gyu to go to karaoke and pay all the fees. D also accused Jo Byeong Gyu of hitting him hard with a microphone when he refused to sing.

Other allegations made by D include Jo Byeong Gyu of ruining his school project, kicking and hitting him. He was also threatened and forced to pay for Jo Byeong Gyu's snacks even though he had no money.

It didn't stop there, because D also claimed that Jo Byeong Gyu had smoked and dated at school. To support his statement, D shared a photo of Jo Byeong Gyu at a school event as proof that they had studied at the same place. (wk / eval)
