Director Timo Tjahjanto is working on a remake of Hollywood Train To Busan

Director from Indonesia, Timo Tjahjanto is rumored to be joining the remake project of the Hollywood version of the film from South Korea, Train To Busan.


The zombie-themed film originally directed by Yeon Sang Ho premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016 and quickly became an international box office. Now it already has a sequel, Train To Busan: Peninsula, which was released in 2020.

Citing Deadline, the remake of Train To Busan will be under the New Line Cinema studio. James Wan and Michael Clear of Atomic Monster and Nicolas Atlan and Terry Kalagian of Gaumont will co-produce with Gary Dauberman of Coin Operated, adapting the scenario. Meanwhile, Judson Scott, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee and Johanna Byer served as executive producers.

This project reunited New Line with James Wan and Gary Dauberman. who worked together on several films of The Conjuring universe including the three films Annabelle and The Nun.

Meanwhile, Timo Tjahjanto's career took off after working on Headshot (2016). Timo also recently directed the Netflix action-thriller film The Night Comes for Us. /dreamers.id
