Stray Kids kicked off 2021 by sharing some of their exciting plans for the next year. The plans were disclosed in an attractive video format which included the release of their 2nd full album. Several other things are also revealed in the video.
On yesterday, Friday (1/1) at midnight KST, Stray Kids celebrated the new year with a cute video titled “STEP OUT 2021”. The video, narrated by Felix in English, begins by capturing fans about some of the group's many achievements from the past year.
The opening included their first fan meeting, their world tour which was unfortunately partially postponed due to COVID-19. pandemic, and the release of their first successful full album. In the second half of the video, Stray Kids announces their "new mission" for 2021.
Their new mission will include “The 1st Fan Meeting Reconnected,” a new reality show apparently titled “SKZ CODE,” a new “season song,” and pop-up shop SKZOO. The group is also teasing the release of their second full album, as well as a mysterious collaboration with an unnamed artist (or artist), both of whom await fans in 2021.
In addition, Stray Kids was recently confirmed to join the lineup for Mnet's upcoming idol competition show "Kingdom". The program is currently scheduled to air in the first half of 2021.
On the other hand, Stray Kids' newest song "Back Door" from their first repackaged album "IN 生 (In Life)", has recently been selected as one of TIME magazine's Top 10 Songs of 2020. On this year's “The 10 Best Songs of 2020” list, TIME listed "Back Door" at No. 8 along with other songs.
"Back Door" itself is the main song on the album. Composed by the group's own production unit 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) and HotSauce, "Back Door" is an explosive and fun song that leaves a strong impact on listeners.
