As is well known, 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. K-Pop idols in particular have had a hard time, as they had to cancel things like concerts because of COVID-19. However, there are many idols who have had a lot of success this year, such as BLACKPINK.
In a recent interview with Forbes's Hugh McIntyre, BLACKPINK was asked what they want to do in 2021. "The world is in a very strange place. What do you guys want to do next year that you may not be able to do in 2020?" sounded the question.
Jennie talked about how they had a very difficult and successful year. The 1996-born idol also said that they were happy because BLACKPINK was able to end this year with an online concert. Jennie also wishes everyone the best for the rest of 2020.
"That's a tough question. Well, it's been a very busy year for BLACKPINK and we're very happy to end it with the great opportunity we have with a YouTube online concert. So we hope everyone can enjoy a happy 2020," he said.
With regard to 2021, Jennie talked about how they want to stay in touch with their fans. He also hopes BLACKPINK will continue to make good music, even though the situation is difficult.
"And in 2021, it will be great fun. Our fans, that's the first thing we think about and continue to make good music and try to find a way to communicate with our fans, even in this situation," he said.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has just comeback releasing a full album titled "THE ALBUM" with the title song "Lovesick Girls". Both the album and the songs in it scored a number of proud achievements.
BLACKPINK also released the documentary "BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky" which tells the story of how they progressed to success after debuting in 2016. The documentary has been released on Netflix on October 14th.
In other news, BLACKPINK has been named the "biggest pop group in the world" by Bloomberg. This happened after they reached No.1 on the musician rankings of the well-known media and analysis company.
