Actor Ahn Hyo Seop has been confirmed to star in SBS's new drama "Hong Chun Gi".
On Friday (11/12), the agency Starhaus Entertainment announced, "Ahn Hyo Seop has been confirmed to star in the drama 'Hong Chun Gi' playing the main character, Ha Ram."
"Hong Chun Gi" is a drama adaptation of the famous novel written by Jung Eun Gwol, the same writer behind the novels "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and "The Moon Embracing the Sun" which has also been adapted into a drama.
Set in the Joseon dynasty era, the drama “Hong Chun Gi” will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo, who previously directed dramas “My Love From The Star” and “Hyena“.
Ahn Hyo Seop will portray the character Ha Ram, a blind astrologer who is able to read stars despite losing his sight. Kim Yoo Jung is considering the main female character Hong Chun Gi, the only female painter of the era, and Gong Myung is also considering another male lead.
The drama 'Hong Chun Gi' is targeted to be broadcast in early 2021. (www.kpopchart.net)
