In the movie 'Josee', Han Ji Min plays a girl with a disability who uses a wheelchair. His life becomes more colorful after meeting a young man named Young Seok, played by Nam Joo Hyuk.
Recently, Han Ji Min did a photo shoot and interview with W Korea magazine. On this occasion he discussed many interesting things, including about his new film entitled "Josee".
During the interview, Han Ji Min explained that she had a hard time giving up her role in the movie "Josee". Even though he is used to forgetting his character immediately after filming so he can concentrate on his new role.
"After finishing filming a project, I usually clean up the remains of the character (in my mind) so I can take on the next role. But with 'Josee', I last longer, actually throughout the year," said Han Ji Min.
"And now after the premiere, I have mixed thoughts. To be honest, I was curious about Josee's character himself while acting. It was not an easily accessible world," he explained.
The film "Josee" itself was shot last winter, and was only released this winter of 2020. Han Ji Min said, "It's hard to imagine 'Josee' in summer. I got a special feeling knowing that the audience will be watching the film at the same time as we recorded it ourselves," said the 38-year-old actress.
Han Ji Min then explained the importance of being careful when acting as a person with a disability. In order to perfectly portray his role, he received help from the director as well as getting used to using a wheelchair at home.
"The director offered me many sources. I refer to the video as much as possible while practicing. In order to become proficient, I keep trying to move around the house using the Josee wheelchair," he concluded.
Meanwhile, "Josee" is a remake of a Japanese film that aired in 2003. This film tells the story of a girl with a disability named Josee. In carrying out his daily life, he uses a stroller and is pushed by his grandmother.
Josee's life becomes more colorful after meeting a student named Tsuneo. Unfortunately, their love affair did not always run smoothly because various conflicts often came up.
Meanwhile, the Korean version of this film follows the love story of Josee (Han Ji Min) and his girlfriend Young Seok (Nam Joo Hyuk) who started the most beautiful chapter in his life. The film itself was released on December 10.
