Kai is ready to follow in the footsteps of his group mates and become the next EXO member to debut solo. After the fans waited for, SM Entertainment finally released a teaser for the 1994-born singer's solo debut.
Today, Wednesday (25/11) at midnight, SM Entertainment released a photo teaser for Kai's solo debut album. The teaser this time is in the form of photos showing the mysterious side of the owner of the real name Kim Jongin.
In some photos, Kai appears to be wearing military-style clothes all in black, but with a pretty scary makeup. While several other photos show him in a unique style, namely a blue blazer and black trousers.
On the same day, Kai also shared details regarding the two B-side songs on his solo album. "Hello Stranger" is a progressive R&B song with a guitar sound. The lyrics are about feeling strange relationships with new strangers and starting natural conversations with them.
"Amnesia" is an R&B trap song with an interesting groove and melody. It's about how when we fall in love, we want to forget all the memories of our past and fill our hearts with the memories of our loved ones.
Previously, SM announced that Kai's solo debut title track would be "Mmmh". This is an R&B pop song with a simple yet addicting melody. It is described as a love song in which a person is forthright, honest, and confident about their feelings for someone they have just met.
Kai himself will debut with his first solo mini album titled "KAI (开)". The album will contain 6 tracks and will be released on 30 November.
Uniquely, the hanzi letter "开" means "open" and is pronounced "kai". This letter is also included in the logo of the solo album whose real name Kim Jongin replaces the letter "A" in the word "KAI" in the debut teaser logo.
Meanwhile, Kai recently had activities with SuperM. The 7-member boy group released two singles each in August and September as well as the full album "Super One" last October.
