Quoted from Media Today, KOSCSC opened its voice about this. KOSCSC said that this was the largest number of complaints they had ever received.

One member of the KOSCSC committee said the public was concerned about the audience rating given to Backstreet Rookie. When airing on MBC, the minimum audience limit for this drama is 15 years and over. But in reality, the public feels that the content is more appropriate given the age limit of 19 years and above.
KOSCSC said that the Korean drama production Backstreet Rookie was not careful in editing. In addition, the language used is too sexually suggestive.
"Although only drama, ethics and the negative emotional effects that are given to teenagers are huge," they said.
4. Showing women as male sexual objects

One of the things that was also highlighted by the KOSCSC was how Backstreet Rookie too made women as sexual objects from the point of view of men.
"Because it was lifted from the webtoon, this drama also has scenes that accommodate women," they added. To be sure because of the things mentioned above, the appropriateness of Backstreet Rookie's drama content for families is now being questioned.
