It's summer and it's time for K-Pop musicians to come up with exciting music. This week, the K-Pop music chart is filled with energetic summer songs.

Most of the names in the top 5 this week have survived since last week. BLACKPINK is still the champion in Melon TOP100 with How You Like That and it seems unshakable even though a series of other big names are starting to enter the chart. Not only in Melon alone, BLACKPINK's new song also still won on various other charts such as Genie TOP100 Realtime, FLO, VIBE, and Bugs.

Zico through his song Summer Hate also still feels strong on the chart. Although it seems there is still a gap that is quite far away if Zico wants to pursue the BLACKPINK position. Summer Hate was sung by Zico with Rain who later returned to the South Korean entertainment world through variety shows with Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Hyo Ri. Rain will debut in the near future with the SSAK3 group formed from the variety show.

Other songs that are also still very strong on the chart are Downtown Baby's BLOO and Maria's Hwasa MAMAMOO. The second song mentioned is one of the summer tracks that must be heard at this time. Hwasa comes with its distinctive style and sound, presenting elements of Latin pop music that MAMAMOO had previously performed through Egotistic.

Well the newcomer this week is Chungha who is making a comeback with a summer album. Chungha released a song called PLAY which was their second pre-release single before releasing the album. This song was sung with Chang Mo. The plan is that there will indeed be three pre-release songs for Chungha's new album in 2020.

Chungha presents a distinctive summer nuance, music that is actually often heard from other K-Pop groups. But Chungha tried to get better in every release, especially in this song, the high notes that he brought were fresh and different from the song of the dropout Produce 101 before. Chungha also dances here.

The new song that colors Melon TOP100 this week is the Monster sung by Irene & Seulgi Red Velvet. The performance of this song is actually better than Chungha in Melon but in the compilation chart of Instiz, Irene and Seulgi it is still below Chungha.

The two Red Velvet members tried to present a concept that was completely different from what he had shown in the group. Irene and Seulgi pushed all limits by presenting a duo that felt sensual, decisive, and strong through their appearance on the song Monster.

K-Pop songs released a few months ago and featuring summer nuances such as Eight from IU and Suga BTS and Dolphin and Nonstop from Oh My Girl also remain strong on the chart. Along with the arrival of other summer songs that are loved by South Korean pop music lovers. Hospital Playlist soundtrack is still an option to be listened to.
