Korean media has been stirred up recently by the news of the accident suffered by the announcer couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk.
On Monday evening July 27, announcer couple Park Ji Yoon and Choi Dong Suk were involved in an accident on the Gyeongbu highway.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 pm South Korean time, when a 2.5-ton cargo truck lost control and turned off the road.
The truck crashed into a Volvo vehicle coming from the opposite direction. It was revealed that the driver whose initials 'A' (49 years old) was driving drunk.
Volvo passengers including Park Jiyoon, Choi Dong Suk, and their two children suffered moderate injuries. The parents suffered injuries to the neck and wrists, and both of their children experienced minor scratches. This family has been rushed to the hospital to get treatment.
Police are currently investigating a case against ‘A’, who has a moderate injury including a broken leg. Blood alcohol A levels are reported to be at least 0.08%.
