Kim Da Mi Wins Best New Actress Cup Through 'Itaewon Class' Drama. The Victory of the 1995-born actress reaps praise from South Korean netizens.
Baeksang Arts Awards 2020 was completed on Friday (5/6) yesterday. A series of actors and actresses who starred in dramas and films from May 26 to June 2, competing seemed to come to this prestigious awards event.
One of the awards that stole the focus was Kim Da Mi, who won the Best New Actress trophy through the drama "Itaewon Class". The victory of the actress born in 1995 also reaped praise from South Korean netizens.
But there are some harsh comments that are more amenable to Jeon Mi Do who starred in the "Hospital Playlist" to win the Best New Actress. Interestingly, it turned out that the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards jury also had difficulty determining between Kim Da Mi and Jeon Mi Do.
The Baeksang Arts Awards 2020 jury commented that Kim Da Mi and Jeon Mi Do pushed them back and forth until the last minute. They say that Jeon Mi Do actually only lost one vote from Kim Da Mi.
But the 2020 Baeksang Arts Awards jury finally chose Kim Da Mi as the winner because the actress is on the rise and becoming a trend in the K-Drama world, making it more worthy of getting a super rookie title.
Meanwhile beforehand, the jury also revealed the reasons for choosing Kang Ha Neul through the drama "When The Camellia Blooms" and Kim Hee Ae through the project "The World of the Married" as the winner of Best Actor and Actress.
Kang Ha Neul was revealed to be competing with Nam Goong Min who starred in "Stove League". Meanwhile, Kim Hee Ae competed with Gong Hyo Jin "When The Camellia Blooms" and Kim Hye Soo "Hyena".
