In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, IU continued to undergo many activities. In addition to filming the film titled "Dream", recently the 1993-born singer also released a new single in collaboration with Suga BTS (Bangtan Boys), "Eight".
On Thursday (5/14), EDAM Entertainment which is IU's agency released a new video. In the video, the owner's real name Lee Jieun meets and gives sweet surprises to some of his fans.
Fans who were present at the event were not told before that IU would also come. In addition to idol and fasn meetings, this event also includes a special interview session ahead of the star of the series "Hotel del Luna".
Of the many questions asked by fans to IU, there was one that became a hot topic. One of the fans asked what genre of music that Lee Jun Ki would like to carry for his future work.
Answering this question, IU said that she wanted to try trot, a Korean music genre known through repetitive rhythm and vocal inflection.
"I want to try (singing) the trot one day," said IU. "I grew up listening to trot songs. That's because my dad really likes trot songs."
When other fans asked IU to try singing one of the trot songs, IU couldn't help but be surprised. Even so, he finally sang a line from the famous trot song entitled "Age is a Number".
