Bolbbalgan4 (BOL4) announced some time ago that the guitarist Woo Ji Yoon would leave the group. This makes the vocalist Ahn Ji Young will continue to promote as a soloist under the name Bolbbalgan4.
BOL4 itself has just released a new song titled "Hug". This is his first solo activity after Ji Yoon leaves. Ahn Ji Young some time ago appeared as a guest star in the episode "Radio Star" yesterday, Wednesday (5/13).
In the event he shared how sad he was about the rumors circulating lately. Ahn Ji Young then revealed about Woo Ji Yoon's departure while on "Radio Star".
"He (Ji Yoon) often talked about leaving for some time. We promoted together for four years since our debut, and we've been together for 10 years since we were in middle school," said Ji Young.
"He has said that he wants to rest after working hard for four years. He is someone who enjoys new challenges, so I support him. I think one day we can make music together again," he said.
Ahn Ji Young also shared that he was angry about the rumors surrounding Woo Ji Yoon's departure. As you know, the departure of one of the members of the duo has made many people speculate unnecessarily. Many people say that the two have a bad relationship and get different treatment from the agency.
"We parted after making a good choice. I was upset when people said that they knew it would happen, made him look like a pathetic person, and blamed the dispute between us," said Ji Young.
"It's not true that Woo Ji Yoon doesn't have a chance to shine, our relationship is not good, or that he's treated badly. We also get along well now," he continued.
BOL4 is known to have just made a comeback with the release of a new album titled "Puberty Book II A Flower The Butterfly Has Seen". In this album BOL4 performed "Hug" which was created by Ahn Ji Young with producer Vanilla Man and the lyrics were written by Ahn Ji Young.
The song describes the warm feelings felt by someone when they are on their way to meet their loved ones. BOL4 has also released a pre-release song called "Leo" which is a special song because it also took Baekhyun EXO to do the audit.
