Two Red Velvet Members Namely Irene And Seulgi Will Debut As Sub Unit. This has been confirmed by SM Entertainment as the Red Velvet Agency.
Good news comes from Red Velvet fans. After debuting in 2014, the girl group under the auspices of SM Entertainment will reportedly debut their first sub unit.
This report first appeared when one of the Korean media outlets, SPOTV News revealed that 2 members of Red Velvet would debut as sub units. The two members namely the leader, Irene and Seulgi.
This has also been confirmed by SM Entertainment as the Red Velvet agency. Today, Wednesday (5/27) at midnight local time, the Red Velvet social media account surprised fans by sharing updates on the highly anticipated debut of Irene and Seulgi's units.
In the update it was revealed that the duo will debut with their first mini album titled "Monster". The logo for the duo was also revealed which incorporates the first letters of their names.
Black and white colors are chosen as the main color of the logo that displays an elegant and mysterious impression as well. It was further announced that this album would later contain a total of 6 new songs.
Meanwhile, Seulgi and Irene had been a concern before debut. Before their debut, both of them got attention for their video performance "Be Natural" through SMROOKIES SR14G.
On the other hand, the members of Red Velvet are currently not undergoing group activities. The 5-member girl group is busy with individual activities such as photoshoots and collaborations.
Wendy who has been discharged from the hospital for treatment is ready to collaborate with Zico to sing the OST "The King: Eternal Monarch" entitled "My Day is Full of You". While Joy collaborated with Crush on a song called "Mayday".
