Today, Thursday (13/6), the Police Announce the Latest Developments on Investigations in the Case of Jung Joon Young's Illegal Sex Videos.

The case of illegal sex videos Jung Joon Young is currently being investigated by the authorities. On Thursday (6/13), Seoul police announced the latest developments in the investigation into this case.

The police revealed that they had continued the prosecution of Lieutenant A and attorney Jung Joon Young at the prosecutor's office. Lieutenant A will be charged for allegedly ignoring duties, preparing and disclosing false documents. On the other hand, lawyer Jung Joon Young, B, will be prosecuted for allegedly being A's accomplice in ignoring duties and hiding evidence.

Lieutenant A was suspected of not confiscating Jung Joon Young's cellphone when he was sued by his ex-girlfriend in August 2016. The lieutenant forwarded Jung Joon Young's case to the Procuratorate with recommendations for indictments without evidence of crime. This then causes an investigation to be carried out without verification whether Jung Joon Young has shared recordings taken illegally or not.

Lawyer B allegedly committed fraud with Lieutenant A to hide Jung Joon Young's cellphone in his office and gave a false report to the police. And because Jung Joon Young's cellphone has disappeared, the data cannot be recovered.

According to the investigation, in 2016 when Jung Joon Young was investigated as a suspect, Lieutenant A suggested to lawyer B to say that Jung Joon Young's cellphone was missing. Lieutenant A even asked the digital forensic company to write a confirmation letter stating that the mobile data could not be recovered. But the company refused his request.

"Cases of sexual violence usually take three to four months to complete, but (this case) only takes 17 days to be forwarded to the prosecutor's office. They do not see the possibility of spreading the record, which is feared by the victim. at that time, suspicion of recording other illegal sex videos will also be investigated. "

However, the police could not find out the clear reason why Lieutenant A suggested that lawyer B to hide the evidence. "We didn't find a corrupt bond like bribery, and he said if he wanted to 'Quickly wrap his suitcase'," the police said.

Meanwhile, lawyer B is also suspected of trying to destroy evidence by returning Jung Joon Young's cellphone to reset mode before handing it over to the police. However, people who rearrange cellphones cannot be determined, so this suspicion is forwarded to the prosecutor's office with recommendations for non-indictments.
