B.I iKON's ex-personnel became the center of controversy following an exclusive report from Dispatch which claimed to buy and use drugs about three years ago. Wednesday (12/6), he was suspected of buying LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) from a female dealer A based on the KakaoTalk conversation claimed as evidence.
Dispatch reports B.I's real name, Kim Hanbin, is listed as one of A's customers according to the testimony of another dealer. A initially said that they had sent LSD to B.I in front of the iKON hostel in May 2016. But when questioned again by the police, A changed his testimony by saying that they did discuss drug transactions, but actually did not get any medicine for B.I.
Yang Hyun Suk was suspected of having influenced A to change his testimony. But YG issued a statement saying that they only met A to examine the testimony about B.I. The police finally closed the case without calling B.I to be interrogated.
Thursday (6/13), the latest report says that A in the conversation is Han Seo Hee. He is a former YG Entertainment trainee who was also involved in Big Bang's T.O.P drug scandal in 2017. According to EDaily, B.I tried to buy drugs from Han Seo Hee through KakaoTalk's message in April 2016.
In his case with T.O.P, Han Seo Hee pleaded guilty and received a 4-year probation along with 120 hours of drug counseling. He also had to pay a fine of 870 thousand won, equivalent to Rp. 10.5 million.
Meanwhile, A suspected Han Seo Hee anonymously submitted documents to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission about YG Entertainment which covered up the case by using their relationship with the police on June 4. The document was submitted through Bang Jung Hyun, a lawyer who had previously sent KakaoTalk's conversation data between Jung Joon Young, Seungri and others to the Commission on behalf of the reporter.
