2019 Billboard Music Awards was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas this morning, Thursday (2/5) or Wednesday (1/5) night local time. BTS (Bangtan Boys) attended this prestigious music award ceremony hosted by singer Kelly Clarkson.
BTS is the only K-Pop group. RM (Rap Monster) and friends successfully beat the red carpet with their handsome appearance.
Shortly after entering the red carpet area, BTS was immediately greeted by a number of local media who were ready to ask various interesting questions. One interview came from Ellentube, part of Ellen DeGeneres's program.
RM apparently touched on Ellen's question about two years ago. At that time Ellen shocked her by asking if they had ever slept with a fan. Ellen uses the term hook up that is not understood by BTS members other than RM.
"Ellen, I have a question. Are you going to ask me about the hook up again?" ask RM. "Yes if you want ..." Ellen said. "(Now) everyone knows about the term. At that time we were shocked," continued RM.
"Really? They are shocked because you know the meaning of the word hook up?" Ellen asked. "Aaaah I don't know," replied RM, laughing. "Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed," he added.
The MC then discussed about BTS that took home the Top Social Artist award. Ellen also gave encouragement for their first appearance with Halsey.
Meanwhile, BTS also won the Top Duo / Group trophy for the first time. RM said that the two awards meant a lot to them and promised to do their best.
