The agency also confirmed that currently Kim Jaehwan is in the preparation stage of the album and has taken a photo shoot. However, the agency stated that it was still uncertain when the exact date for the album's release.
"It's true that we did a photo shoot for Kim Jaehwan's solo album today," said Swing Entertainment representative. "He is currently recording his new music, but the exact date for his solo debut hasn't been decided."
Even though the official solo debut date has not been confirmed, Swing Entertainers have confirmed that Kim Jaehwan will hold his first solo fanmeeting. The fanmeeting was titled "MIN: D" and will be held on May 26th. In addition, Jaehwan will also attend KCON Japan in May.
Kim Jaehwan himself appeared on Mnet's survival program, "Produce 101 Season 2" as an individual trainee. Kim Jaehwan won the event by being ranked 4th and joined in the Wanna One group in 2017.
In the group, Jaehwan was in charge of being the main vocalist along with Ha Sungwoon. Kim Jaehwan is also incorporated in the Wanna One sub unit called Triple Position. In the sub unit, Jaehwan together with Kang Daniel and Park Woojin released a song entitled "Kangaroo".
