Jungkook BTS finally wants to be called oppa, is this why? - For years, Jungkook always objected if there was an ARMY calling him 'Oppa'. But in the recent BTS Fans event, he changed his decision.

For years, Jungkook always objected if there was an ARMY calling him 'Oppa'.

Jungkook is indeed the youngest member in BTS (Bangtan Boys). But the 1997-born idol has an aura that makes fans want to call him "oppa".

In Korean, "oppa" is a love call used by women for older brothers, older male friends, boyfriends or male celebrities. But Jungkook is not called "oppa" by ARMY (as BTS fans), especially if he is older than him.

ARMY actually teases Jungkook on purpose, calling him "oppa" on every occasion. Especially after "Boy in Luv" was released where the lyrics sung by Jungkook read, "I want to be your 'oppa'."

For years, Jungkook showed an objectionable reaction if there was ARMY calling him "oppa". In fact, he said he would check the ID card of each ARMY to make sure the person calling "oppa" was really younger than him.

But Jungkook seems to get used to being called "oppa". Last year he was seen responding to fans who called him such an event.

Finally on Thursday (25/4), when BTS held an M2U signature event, Jungkook made an announcement that successfully made ARMY excited. After years, he finally wanted to be called "oppa".

"Honey, oppa, rabbit or hyung (call men for older men). I'll do anything," Jungkook said.

Wow, why did Jungkook suddenly make this decision? Many who guessed this might have something to do with his new status, "Jungkookie-hyung". Because now he is "hyung" for TXT, maybe he doesn't mind being an "oppa" for all ARMY, no matter how old they are.
