Dispatch questions about differences in BLACKPINK and BTS songs on the ‘Inkigayo’ Chart - Dispatch recently questioned the difference between the BLACKPINK song and Bangtan Boys on the ‘Inkigayo’ music chart.

Dispatch recently questioned the difference between the BLACKPINK song and Bangtan Boys on the ‘Inkigayo’ music chart.

As previously reported, Bangtan Boys' song "Boy With Luv" was not included in the April 21 episode of "Inkigayo" episode.

Dispatch then compared BLACKPINK's 'Kill This Love' song and 'Boy With Luv' Bangtan Boys which were both released on Friday. What's different is BLACKPINK released at 00.00 in the morning, while Bangtan Boys at 18.00.

But the two songs did not enter the chart in the same time period. BLACKPINK's song 'Kill This Love' is known to be ranked 4th after 9 days of release (April 14), while Bangtan Boys is not included in the 'Inkigayo' chart within 9 days, on April 21.

The Dispatch then contacted 'Inkigayo' to question the difference between BLACKPINK and Bangtan Boys songs on their chart.

Following are complete conversations between Dispatch and ‘Inkigayo’:

Dispatch: What is the 'Inkigayo' method for calculating charts?
Inkigayo: Digital score (55%), SNS score (30%), audience voting (5%), broadcast (10%), album sales on Gaon Chart (10%)
Dispatch: Why didn't the BTS enter the third week chart in April?
Inkigayo: BTS's new song is not counted on the third week of April. The new song will enter the chart starting next week
Dispatch: Which part still does not meet the criteria?
Inkigayo: Each music program has a different chart calculation method. It's hard to tell the details
Dispatch: The criteria are very ambiguous
Inkigayo: There are parts that cannot enter in the time and condition of the chart calculation. If the BTS is included in the calculation it will cause injustice for other artists
Dispatch: Are BTS not receiving fair treatment? Wait, it is BTS and BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK comeback on Friday, April 5, 00.00. Then enter the chart on April 14. BTS comeback on Friday, April 12, at 6:00 p.m. But it failed to enter the chart on April 21
Inkigayo: The calculation of the score is very complicated. In the case of BTS, there are parts that cannot enter the calculation. Other singers can enter the chart because they meet the criteria
Dispatch: If there are differences from BTS and BLACKPINK, it's just the release hour
Inkigayo: There are several criteria for entering the chart calculation period. It's not just a time difference
Dispatch: Was the data originally calculated? We talk about the number of scores SNS (Youtube) BLACKPINK and BTS

The 'Inkigayo' episode on April 21 was successfully won by BLACKPINK with the song 'Kill This Love' and this is their first victory trophy since taking a comeback in 2019.
