SNSD's Sooyoung Has Her Dream Realized After Using Japanese in Her New Film - Sooyoung's new film 'Memories of a Dead End' will air first on April 4th.

Sooyoung's new film 'Memories of a Dead End' will air first on April 4th.

On Monday (25/3), a press conference was held for Girls' Generation's new film Sooyoung, "Memories of a Dead End". On that occasion, Sooyoung talked about many interesting things.

"Memories of a Dead End" itself is a romantic film adapted from a Japanese book of the same name. The film was directed by Choi Hyun Young.

The film tells of a tourist from South Korea named Yu Min (Sooyoung) who is on vacation in Nagoya, Japan. In addition to vacationing, Yu Mi's visit to Japan is also to be able to meet his lover.

In the midst of his journey to meet his lover, Yu Mi met Nishiyama (Tanaka Shunsuke). He is a cafe manager who is located at the end of the hill.

Because of this, the film uses a lot of Japanese in the dialogue of its players. Responding to this, Sooyoung revealed that he was not that difficult because he had studied Japanese for a long time. He also revealed that he had managed to realize one of his dreams through this film.

"I debuted in Japan when I was 12 years old, so I feel grateful to be able to learn Japanese," said Sooyoung. "Since then, I have thought that someday I can act in Japanese."

Even though he was worried about his pronunciation, Sooyoung said that he didn't feel burdened with his acting when using Japanese. Because his status as a Korean woman will make viewers understand in Japanese.

"However, because I am here playing a character as a Korean woman, so I thought that when there were some Japanese pronunciation that wasn't right, it would be understood by the audience," Sooyoung said. "So I don't feel burdened with acting using Japanese."

Besides Sooyoung, this film also stars Tanaka Shunsuke, Ahn Bo Hyun, Dong Hyun Bae, Bae Noo Ri and many more. The film is planned to air on April 4.
