SM Entertainment has hosted popular groups since the first generation in the 90s. Now, the agency has mainstay groups starting TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee to their juniors such as EXO, Red Velvet and NCT.
Not many singers and SM groups are comeback in the first quarter of 2019. But the agency that also oversees Girls' Generation promises that the second quarter of 2019 will not be quiet anymore.
"We are targeting increased activity from last year with a global concert tour before EXO conscription, planned activities for additional subunits, NCT's first global tour and WayV official album," said the SM Entertainment representative.
The SM plan for the third quarter received various responses from fans. Some fans can't wait for the album WayV while others protest because EXO never held a concert even though their album has been released since last year.
"This is March and there is nothing from NCT 2019," fans commented. "Additional sububnit? Yes, BC, give us the EXO-CBX album again," said other fans. "The additional subunit is for NCT, not for us," said one EXO fan.
"SM should immediately provide an explanation why EXO's concert has been postponed so far," fans said. "I heard Xiumin will be drafted in May and the tour will begin in June or July," said another. "I just want EXO's concert," added other fans.
