Today, Tuesday (3/19), the Special Detective Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency revealed that a request to issue an arrest warrant for Jung Joon Young and Kim, a former employee at Burning Sun, had been brought before the prosecutor's court.
According to police, both of them will be arrested on charges of making and sharing illegal sex videos and photos of sexual activity in group chat with their friends. Kim is also suspected of preparing the camera. On March 15, police searched the homes of Jung Joon Young and Kim to find evidence after Jung Joon Young's first stage examination.
The police also requested the issuance of a warrant for Jang, director of the Burning Sun from the assault case. If the warrant was issued, Jang would undergo interrogation as a suspect of physical assault on Kim Sang Kyo, the man who talked about the attack on Jang and several other Burning Sun employees.
To resolve the issue of the warrant, the judge must directly question the suspect after submitting a warrant request. Examinations by judges usually take place two days after filing, so Jung Joon Young and two other suspects are expected to be questioned on March 21.
On the other hand, Senior Inspector Yoon and Yoo In Suk, former CEO of Yuri Holdings who is also the husband of actress Park Han Byul, are both prohibited from leaving the country. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Special Detective Division revealed that they were in the process of arresting Chief Inspector Kim, wife of Senior Inspector Yoon, who was suspected of having a connection with Seungri.
Choi Jong Hoon previously stated that he gave Yoon's VIP ticket to K-pop concerts in Malaysia and played golf with Yoon's wife, Yoon, former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk, and actress Park Han Byul. Police are still investigating the details behind this golf meeting and exchange of K-pop concert tickets. Police requested a search warrant for Yoon's bank account report on March 18.
